gout ------> 痛風
I have gout in my big toes joint. It can be caused by dehydration, too much beer, fried foods, eggs, lack of exercise or sweet foods.
uric asid ------> 尿酸
egg nog ------> 卵酒
nightcap ------> 寝酒
square --------> （スラングで）保守的でつまらない人（やや古い言い方なのでジョークっぽく使うのがいいらしい） Don't be square.
diplomatic ------> ①外交の、外交上の ②駆け引きの上手い、如才ない ③社交辞令の、お世辞上手な
to put the ring off my finger ⇔to put the ring on my finger -----> 指輪をはずす、つける
stub-----> 刺す
spree ------>やり放題、連続、騒ぎ(いい意味では使われない）
stubbing spree -------> 連続刺殺

a rare act of public violence in a country considered one of the safest in the world
CNNでは川崎の殺傷事件を上のように報じていました
shooting spree ------> 連続銃乱射
scoring spree ------> 連続得点（得点された側にとって良いことではないという意味
winning spree -------> 連勝
shopping spree -----> 買い物をしまくる、爆買い
devastating ------> 悲惨な、衝撃的な
・How do you say "武士の情け" in English?
そもそも、日本語で「武士の情け」の意味は？-----> 武士の場合、処刑になる人の名誉を尊重して、打ち首ではなく、切腹の機会を与えること。このことから相手の誇りや名誉を尊重する、と言う意味で現在は使われているようです（広辞苑にも載っていない表現のようです）また、上司が部下に優しさを見せることも広い意味で使われているようです

no-win situation -------> 何も得られない状況
hopeless -----> 見込みのない、不可能な
・How do you say "接待ゴルフ" in Englih?
------> I'm taking my client to golf. / I'm taking my client for golf.
食事の接待------> I'm going to my client to a dinner. / I'm going to my client for dinner.
*日本語では「接待ゴルフ」と聞けば大抵どのような状況か理解できますが、英語ってそれを説明することが必要な言語ですね

mental illness --------> 精神疾患、心の病
blow my mind ------> 圧倒する、ひどく驚かす、度肝を抜く
sick days -------> 病欠
hallucination -------> 幻覚
auditory hallucination -------> 幻聴
to get progressively worse -----> 状況がだんだん悪くなる
